Lights! Camera! Action!

Thursday, February 14, 2008, was an exceptional day for Mezzo, a small black and white male parti Poodle. It all began when Planet Advertising, an advertising agency in Nice, contacted me about using one of my parti Poodles to advertise the new Citroen C3 PINKO.

What follows is Mezzo’s own reaction to his first film performance:

Wow! My first experience under the cameras! After much discussion back and forth, the producer insisted on transforming me into a girl with pink bows in my fur and sparkling stones and flowers on my ears. Well, alright . . . it was very feminine but it’s only for a movie. My small female friend Douday could have done it in my place, but she just had puppies and needed her rest.

The scene took place on a superb yacht moored in the old port of Cannes, and I am in the arms of the gigolo of my mistress, a rich and very beautiful woman. All the cameras were focused on me. There was an enormous camera with what looked like a huge pompom and moved on a large stick above the top of my head. Apparently this was for the sound, but I thought they wanted to play with me, and I tried to catch it.

We repeated the scene over and over. It seems that one must have a lot of patience to be an actor. Now that I will be famous, I promise not to be too haughty! Everyone was so nice, and my human mother Chantal and my groomer Nathalie were so proud of me and patiently worked with me throughout the filming.

Am I ready to do it again . . . AND HOW!!
