2009 International Parti Poodle Club Calendar

The 2008 Calendar was the first International Parti Poodle Club fundraiser, and the club's first attempt at making a calendar.  It was very popular and sold out quickly, thus not nearly as many people were able to order one that wanted one.

The December photo is Mary Winburn's Molly, the winner of a Christmas photo contest. Mary received a lovely Poodle ornament as a prize.  You can see Molly in cupcake form on the Poodle Whimsy page of this gazette!

This year, the Calendar will be ready well before Fall, and there will be ample opportunity to purchase one.  The Calendar is professional quality and full of beautiful photos of parti Poodles every month of the year.

Photos are being donated by Poodle owners around the world.  If you are interested in donating a photo of your parti Poodle for use in a future Calendar, below are a few guidelines to follow to ensure that the Calendar is of a high standard.

1.  Please be sure that there is at least one parti Poodle in the photo. It is perfectly fine to have solid Poodles included in the photo.

2.  Please be sure your Poodle is properly groomed.  Clean and brushed out is fine. An exception would be if the Poodle is in the water or lawn sprinkler, etc. The pictures submitted should be the finest example possible to present to the public. A messy or unkempt dog would not set a good example. (Although we all know they get that way from daily play!)

3. Photos must be at least 11x8 inches, *and* around 300ppi.  Direct from your digital camera, or direct from your Kodak photo CD would be great. Please do not size down the picture or make any changes to it.  I will ensure that your photo looks great before it's used, including removing red-eye or anything distracting in the background.

4. Please try to use a picture where the Poodle(s) fills the frame.  A quarter-inch-big Poodle way off in a huge field will not turn out well once enlarged to fit the page.  Also it's better to have a good view of the Poodle's face, if it's head is turned away from the camera, it most likely won't be used.

5. You may either email the photo to info@ippclub.org with the subject "Calendar", or if you need to mail a photo, please mail it to IPPC, PO Box 323, Opp, AL 36467.  If you need the photo returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

6. Please include your full name and your general location (state/country), as credit for the photo will be given.  We will not use the names of the Poodles, or any titles they have achieved.

7. And finally . . . please realize that not all photos submitted will be used.  If your photo is one that we would like to use, but can't use in the current Calendar, we will ask if we can save it to use in a future Calendar.

We are very excited about the upcoming 2009 Calendar . . . and as soon as a preview and purchase information is available, we will send out an announcement.
