I have bred parti Standard Poodles since 2005 (only one litter a year) and Dwarf partis and phantoms since 1992. Before that, I bred solids in the Dwarf size. My passion for Poodles began in 1986 with a Poodle crossbreed named T.J. He was very intelligent, and I was fascinated by him. Unfortunately, my beloved T.J. died while still young. My husband then gave me a black female Dwarf Poodle who made our house alive again. She was such a merry dog that I named her Joy. She represented the Poodle standard so beautifully that I thought about breeding her. I did all the health testing, which turned out perfectly, and began breeding her. Joy died at age 14, and I still could cry when I think of her. She was the best dog in my life. I acquired my first parti Poodle in 1992 and, when I bred my first litter of partis, I was fascinated by the uniqueness of the puppies. While searching the Internet in 2003, I found Sandi’s Te-Awa’s Parti Poodles’ website. In June of 2004, I acquired my first parti female Standard Poodle from Sandi and, two months later, my male Don. After these two gorgeous parti Standard’s passed all their health tests, I bred my first litter, which was actually the first litter of parti Standards in Germany. I fell in love with the black and white pups. Out of this first litter came Naika Only For You who went on to become the most winning parti Standard in Europe. Hopefully, partis and phantoms will become more and more popular in Germany. The good news is that, as of 2008, we can now show them in International shows in Germany. With the knowledge I have acquired of this enchanting breed, I believe we should import blood lines to refresh and manage our own blood lines. All of us who love the parti and phantom Poodles should come together and work for their betterment. |
