From the Editor's Desk
I apologize for this issue being late.
After the January issue, I decided to give the Gazette a new look
and found myself in a learning curve dilemma with the updated
program.
The Gazette brings you parti Poodle news from
around the world. In this issue, we highlight Russia and Taiwan, two
countries now accepting parti Poodles in the conformation show ring.
The date for UKC's Premier is getting close and many of you
are training your Poodles for this wonderful yearly event. We will
be attending with visitors from overseas and hope to see you at this
terrific show where enjoyment is had by all.
Recently, we
faced the loss of one of our old girls. Like most of you when
contemplating this, I am never prepared for the loss of a much loved
Poodle. My veterinarian Dr. Jones has held my hand during losses
before. This time all he could say when I dissolved into tears was,
"It never gets easier, does it, Sandi." Funny thing is that even
though I know I've done all I can do, I still question myself . . .
could more have been done to have our beloved girl with us just a
wee bit longer? No matter how old our precious dogs are, their lives
are never long enough.
