First German VDH Youth Champion

Parti Poodles are gaining recognition around the world both in and out of the show ring. Russia allows them in the conformation ring and has adopted the same colour guidelines for competition as Germany. Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Taiwan also now allow partis to show in conformation. This is most certainly a step ahead for the partis!

Last year the German Kennel Club, VDH, voted to allow parti Poodles to compete for championship titles (CAC: Certificat d' Aptitude au Championat); however, International titles are not yet allowed to be competed for (CACIB: Certificat d’Aptitude au Championnat International de Beauté). Translated to English CACIB means Certificate of Aptitude for the International Championship of Beauty.

Te-Awa’s Special Edition Only for You, “Nelson,” handled by Karin Hoffman from the Le Papillon Kennels in Germany, has fulfilled all conditions to get the VDH YOUTH CHAMPION. To gain this title, Nelson had to get three CAC’s from three different judges.

Continuing his show career, Nelson will now seek the title of GERMAN CHAMPION, VDH. He will need five CAC’s to achieve this title. After acquiring his first CAC, Nelson must wait one year and one day before getting his last CAC to achieve the title of German Champion, VDH. A Poodle must be 15 months old to begin competing for this title.
