Greetings,
The International Parti Poodle
Club officially became a non-profit Corporation on March 27, 2008. In a
short period of time, the club has produced the first ever Multi Color
Poodle Calendar, generated research funds for the day blind study at the
University of Missouri, and donated funds to help fellow dog lovers
struggling with fires in Australia.
Plans for the coming year
include: continuing to do fund raising for the day blind study,
gathering photos for the 2010 calendar, producing a Canine/ Human
Cookbook, and working to become UKC affiliated. In addition, future
fundraisers and prospective shows are being discussed as well as Club
committees being formed for such things as a Trophy/Plaque Committee.
The goal of the Trophy/Plaque Committee is to reward those who are
accomplishing either performance or conformation titles with their
Poodle, by giving year-end awards of a plaque or trophy, to recognize
equally the accomplishment of both owner and Poodle.
Kudos to all who worked hard to make the Club’s
first year successful!
